Consular IDs
A California Notary may identify a person using their Consular ID (CID) or Foreign Passport (Bill 2566). Some governments issue a CID to their citizens who are living in other countries. A CID does not establish or prove residency. A foreign passport is acceptable as well and is not required to be stamped at entry by immigration services when used as ID for notarization.
